A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT

Greetings and welcome to the official website of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Tau Alpha Omega Chapter.

Since March 1991, Tau Alpha Omega Chapter has proudly served the Redford and Metropolitan Detroit community.  I am proud and humble to serve as the 17^th President of Tau Alpha Omega Chapter.

Programs are the heart of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® under the leadership of our International President and CEO Danette Anthony Reed.  As members of our sorority, we work to ensure our local community is supported by implementing our five initiatives as we “Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood.” 

Our sixth initiative, Strengthen Our Sisterhood, is our foundation initiative whose purpose is to strengthen our AKA sisterly bonds in support of our mission.
